  iS*Project System Requirement

 
     

Professional Edition

    
  As a project manager, you can share project tasks (using your own computer as the database server) by sending assignments to the team member's Outlook® Task Folder.  Status Reports are filed from the team members' Outlook environment and summary or detail reports are produced at the Project Manager's Workstation.  The Project Manager computer becomes the task database server.  No need to have a dedicated server.
The Project Portfolio screen provides the single point entry to all your tasks plans, task detail, document management and administration utilities.

Workgroup Edition

    
  In a more structured IT environment, you will use a dedicated server managed by IT staff.  This version is usually for companies wishing to have central IT control for backup and security.  This version supports non-scheduled tasks, overhead tasks, and scheduled project tasks.  Project Managers and Team Members share task plans, task details, document library and status reporting.  The flexible and easily configured view management allows the project manager to have overview status of selected tasks with one simple click.
Project Managers and Team Members uses the same Project Portfolio screen providing a single point entry to all your tasks plans, task detail, document management and administration utilities.
